  • Hello Madam.  It was very exciting attending your training over the weekend.   You are such a wonderful personality with a repertoire of knowledge in the field.    I had a nice time learning new things for the first time about autism spectrum disorder as you taught with profound passion.   I have referred a friend.   I hope to pursue a carrier in this line by God's grace.    I also would like to volunteer working with you during training or special events if it falls within my spare time.    I noticed you don't use projector to teach and I may not know the reason though it would have given you enough time to display more things to us.     Your training is top notch🙌
  • Hi Barb.  My mom and I were so impressed by your course this past weekend.  you are a fabulous public speaker and provided everyone with practical information, suggestions and useful resources!  I will suggest your course to others.
  • Hi Barbara.  I was at your presentation this morning and listened to what you had to say both as a professional and a parent.  I am a staff at Aisling, and I work for the TPAS Autism Program.  I am also a parent of a son with autism;  I would love to be connected with you so we can learn from each other.  Hoping to connect with you soon.
  • I think the class needs to be more than 2 days, so that it can be explained better and deeper
  • Are there any supporting courses

  • Dear Mrs Lebo.   I wish to express my profound gratitude for the opportunity to share in your deep and hands-on understanding of Autism.  I am blessed to hear from an expert the rudiments of managing and caring for kids with autism.  I look forward with keen enthusiasm to learning more from you to be able to help in putting smiles on the faces of both parents and kids suffering from autism.   Thank you so much for the insightful presentation.  One day I hope I will have the opportunity to advance an advocacy for sufferers back home where the innocent sufferers are treated with disdain and stigmatization.  You have turned what was meant to be a pain to the gain of  others.  I am pleased to identify with you.  I am running to my night shift and I had to send this email to appreciate.  It couldn’t wait for another day.

ZOOM TRAINING COURSE

What I liked best about the course

  • I enjoy the reality you bring to the course material. I can put myself in your shoes in those moments and those moments when you’re advocating it truly can be hard to be a heard voice.
  • Thank you for the training session today.  I found it very useful and informative.   Firstly, I liked the amount of new information, backed by statistics and personal experiences.
  • Thank you for the training session earlier.  I am grateful for the opportunity and would like to continue to learn more.   First of all, I really liked that you spoke from experience and provided real life examples.  I appreciate you sharing this information in such a detailed and way to understand way.
  • The facilitator was so lively.    The information was worth it and more
  • I like all the information that you told us.  especially about the food, gluten and casein free.  You already know, as a Filipino, we always eat rice, sweets and a lot of food that has all the things that we shouldn’t eat.   I learned a lot about what autism is and what it is about.  Learning the do’s and don’ts when caring for someone with autism is very important.  The step by step learning to communicate, understand and to know about their behaviours.
  • I really liked the way you spoke and explained each and every section in detailed with real life examples. Really liked the attachments and so well organized.
  • It was worthy spending 4 hours listening to you because you a teacher who experienced what you teach.  The audio and video were loud and clear.  I am a PSW and I have worked with both the elderly and young but I learned a new thing today that toxins in food contribute to Autism in children.   Thank you for highlighting that behaviour in children is communication because sometimes we take them for granted by not paying attention.  I also liked the break time which gives us students time to refresh, thank you.
  • The course is very educative, as a new mum and a caregiver I learned a lot about autism.
  • I particularly liked the tips about how to communicate and help an individual with ASD – especially the touch/hand pressure and the lighting. My favourite comment is “Behaviour is Communication”
  • I absolutely loved all of the resources provided.
  • I loved the personal anecdotes, handouts and the advice about dietary changes to be made for preventive measures because they make a big difference not only for the person with autism but also for the people around them, ie; pregnant mothers etc Our society is poisoning us and if we are unwell there will be no way to ensure we can take care of the people we love and the people who need it.
  • Thank you for this informative class. I liked the fact that this class used real life examples, it was very educational. I appreciate the slides and notes with actual guides.
  • I particularly liked the fact that I now understand what Autism Spectrum Disease is as well as how to recognize the varying behavioral patterns and the appropriate responses that can be used to reinforce, intercept and change behavior. The biomedical section is equally enlightening and the wealth of information it conveys is useful when adopted in the treatment or management  of almost all diseases. A leaky gut can birth a lot of diseases.
  • Everything about the course outline is on point and it has been an eye opener for me. I did learn about why certain people with Autism are the way they are.
  • It was absolutely an honour to be a part of the zoom meeting and was very empowering to learn how you handle/ work with someone having special disabilities like ASD.
  • I like the information and the way you explain it.
  • The way the lecture was delivered with all simplicity
  • The Introduction about Autism caregiver, my experience and preferences.   balance of the variety equipment that was explained and also Communicating Skills / Demonstration.   Touching, Hearing.
  • The reading materials and how you were so proud of using your son as an example.  How funny you were and also the break.
  • I liked how the information was presented and explained with examples, handouts and scenarios.  As someone who did not know much about autism, the training has given me an in-depth understanding of how to work and support people with Autism.   I really appreciate this new found knowledge.
  • The Training will go a long to enhance the way I work with my clients as a Developmental Service Worker.
  • I would say everything, the way you taught is not just from reading a book but from experiencing it yourself and it made the teachings so real and easy to comprehend.
  • I like the fact that I could learn so much and gain more knowledge in 4 hours. I understood your explanation and I also liked the notes you put together for us very detailed and enough information. I never knew this disorder started about 60 years ago and how evolutionary it is and to me it is important information. Learning is so important as it opens your eyes to see more and your ears to know more. I like how much you stand for your rights and your effort to do what you can do depending on your capability, knowing how important it is to follow God’s path. You are a motivation because of how passionate you are. knowing how many courses you took to learn more and understand was absolutely amazing.
  • I like the way you thought the course, even though it was online and it was theoretical it seems very practical which made me understood it more, the course was thought with passion and love. The real life examples and scenarios were able to bring out the ideas of the messages you were trying to pass.
  • ·         Thank you for coming up with such a simple way of educating a wide spread of people on a very pertinent topic, Autism. A big plus to us and me especially. Reaping the benefits of info tech.   Frankly speaking, I didn't expect a lot of breakdown. I mean simplicity. Your explanations and expressions hit the point and created images like clear cut illustrations would do. Big thumbs up.
  • I like the fact that you used your child as a case study for the course. The course is detailed, and it shows that you have a good knowledge and understanding of autism.  It made me understand the course better than lecturing.
  • It is very interesting and educative topic,  I must commend you, you are an amazing teacher and congruous woman, Your scenario was wonderful , I really enjoyed the training,
  • I liked that you used your practical experiences to teach the subject matter thereby making it real than theoretical.
  • ·         I do like the teaching is so detailed.
  • I liked that the trainer had an in-depth knowledge of Autism, and she was very explanatory. It was a very engaging session as I did not want the four hours to end!
  • I love the course because it is indeed an eye - opener, especially for mothers. I love the fact that you used real life examples and experiences, which makes the course authentic. I also love the fact that you stand up for your son and other children living with Autism. I should do the same. great course, impactful, and highly educative.
  • Excellent training help me get  more knowledge and experience to support clients with Autism
  • Learnt a lot in the lecture, it is a pleasure to be your student.
  • I like the fact that your class was practical, you used your son has an example which made it very easy to relate with children we have met and worked with.
  • Today's training was really good and interactive as I have learnt more things.    I like everything today about the programme, the way you explained all the concepts and terminologies, especially using your son as an example really made me understand it a lot better.   You are really a  great teacher Barbara.
  •  I actually did like everything about the lecture cause i gained a lot of knowledge on care giving and i have passion for caring with people with disabilities.
  • The instructor started at  the dot of time and she goes  straight to the introduction of the training.  Throughout the training she did not give room for distraction.  Ffrom the way I see the instructor is disciplined.   During the course of the training she told us that she has son with ASD so her study based on her physical experience with autism because she did not only rely on books she read, she had a wider knowledge of autism .
  • I like your way of teaching , your passionate about it and appreciate you for using your own life experience.
  • What I really enjoyed about the training was that it was very informative and enlightening. I could now understand why my daughter was behaving in a certain way. And speaking about your son and your experience thus far, made it relatable to mine as well. I will definitely be pursuing further one on one courses with you, because I like your style of teaching and interaction. So, thank you for the experience.
  • I Love how experienced and hands on Barb was during the lecture, the class was interesting and I learnt a lot from it.
  • Wow I really love this program.   it was a fantastic one, she spent so much time with us and take her time to explain it to us and I really appreciate it. She spent more than 4 hours with us and I really love her program so much and Thanks so much.
  • Your coworkers speak highly of you and your willingness to share your knowledge with us and help, even when you have exhausted your time.   Your appreciate and brightening everyone's day and making people smile during the day.   You perform well under pressure ,and your calm demeanor during stressful situation helps all of us understand you better.  When you disagree with others, you do so in a way that's respectful, graceful and minimize offence.   You volunteered to take an additional work for the (training) to ensure that it was a success.
  • You like attention from your students and also you want them to be focus while receiving lecture.
  • Firstly I'd like to commend your effort in helping ease the frustrations in our individuals and care homes across Canada, USA, and as far as other countries around the world in the good work you are doing to improving the lifestyle of  autistic patients.    After our zoom meeting last Saturday i did realize how much you have broadened my perception as well as other people that took part in the class session and one very good thing i learnt, how to deal with autistic person or individual in Canada or anywhere in the world.
  • Thank you very much for the opportunity to be trained as an Autism Caregiver Specialist. The training was quite robust , intense and revealing. I am looking forward to putting all I learned in the training into practice by helping persons living with autism.    The simplicity in your presentation in each training module of the course elicited my interest and more in-depth understanding besides the use of manuals.    Aligning trainees with materials days ahead before the training is highly commendable. It give me holistic knowledge of what Autism is all about and more offers on the table.     I also like your happy disposition during training. I felt a special connection with you while the training was on . I was at ease during the training session with every smile you shared and the effort you put in to ensure we understood all illustrations every step of the way.    Another strong liking for me is using your son Braeden to make us understand the everyday life of living with Autism.  I was  thrilled that you and I have similarities in line of education and profession . My first degree was business administration. My masters was in communication management and my profession is media journalism ( electronics) . I am a TV and Radio News Anchor and producer. I love your energy during the presentation and the easy introduction of yourself and the fact that you look fabulous in your 60’s. Warm introduction of yourself was a lovely start .   I like the 10mins break intervals during the training
  • I like the fact that the training was interesting and fun because it was interactive.
  • What I liked about the course is that it is very educational, informative and interesting. I have learnt so much from this course and my knowledge about the topics covered has improved significantly.
  • I like the training , it’s highly informative.
  • I loved that there was information about the gut system, and you have a child who had issues that we can relate to.  Giving stories about your son made me feel that I am not alone in this.     I am not the only parent going through this.
  • What I loved about yesterday was you feeling very comfortable teaching using your own life experiences, not a lot of people would do this. your cheerfulness was next to none, this made the training an interesting and lively one for me.
  • I liked the knowledge of the course. I have studied "Leaky Gut" in the past. I am a firm believer in healthy eating and as pure form of food as possible.
  • I really enjoyed the whole course to be honest, especially learning how our bodies digest proteins and how diets can affect children autism.
  • The different information you gave and lots of it that I think will help our boys. Especially the calendar and behavior packet as that should help a lot especially with the boys.
  • I   like the way you tried answering questions throughout the period of the training. You were very practical using real life examples and situations to explain and teach the course. This inevitably sparked an interest in me and desire to enroll for further trainings so as to be properly equipped to handle children with this challenges.   The content and materials of the course was also explicit and concise for better assimilation. I also enjoyed your teaching methodology and delivery. That’s a great job!
  •     I like that you kept the class interesting. Also you touched on major key points.
  • I like that you could identify with your students on a personal level from experience.
  • What I enjoyed about Barbara Lebo’s course is that it is informative and relatable. Even if you aren’t directly involved with someone whom has autism after this course you will become so much more aware of how to identify and educate yourself in light of showing support to an entirely unique community.
  • I enjoyed learning about different ways to communicate with the child so you both can understand each other.

  • I liked that the course was straight to the point and had reading materials attached to it. I especially liked that the instructor taught and gave examples using her own personal experiences, spoke clearly and made physical gestures where necessary to help one understand better
  • It was a very informative and practical class.
  • The session was very clear and concise with good practical examples
  • Full of practical and helpful information.
  • The  whole topic especially the communication, sensory and behavior.
  • I like the course of the Autism Caregiving Course because the explanation of our speaker Ms. Barbara.   she explained well and elaborate about Autism namely behaviour, food , and about communication and so much more information.
  • This course has been informative. Short and precise course to get some perspective on finding focus on things that really matter. I learned a lot . The lectures are nice and instructive. You are excellent teacher who just connect so well with the students . I’m so thankful for the learning process .
  • I like the fact that the course was delivered in clear, simple terms for easy understanding. A variety of topics were covered including Biomedical, Sensory, Communication, Behaviour and more.
  • I liked the course  because you teach us very well in how to care and handle the autism person and the way you discussed it its more understandable.   we fell to enjoy the class.
  • Hello, thank u very much for the Autism caregiver training course, l like the course because it was well organized, well presented, and it's educative.
  • I am a PSW and have attended a lot of training about elderly care and how to deal with their illnesses and the Autism Caregiver Training is very new to me. I have learned a lot. Thank you!  This is my Evaluation: The training was very detailed and you gave good examples through verbal words, facial expressions and sounds which i often hear from people with Autism.
  • I'm  a Personal Support Worker. I  have learned a lot from saturday's training about Autism.   My Evaluation: The training was very informative and very detailed in every way possible. I like how you explained so many examples which gives me more knowledge about Autism in general.
  • The programme was wonderful and interesting, indeed, l liked the course.  have been introduced into the course with personal experience of the lecturer. More so, this is a society where disability cannot be despised, rather be integrated into the society. So the use of gestures, signs etc were awesome.
  • First and foremost I would like to thank for your patience. Knowing about this training is excited to learn. and knowing that a great  knowledgeable hands-on mother of Braeden. I learned a lot. Preference for the future. More power to you.  I like how you explained things and mastery.  I like to learn about Autism, what did their behaviour, what we do if they have tantrums. How to communicate to them.
  • I like the topic and the training was very informative. I learned a lot about Autism and it has helped me to become a better caregiver to clients that have this condition
  • I like the fact on how you speak not boring and on how to deal with the Autism
  • I like to Learn about the behaviour of autism people. How to take good care of them. How to accept if you have a child that have autism. and how they react the things specially if they are infants until they grow older. How to handle if they have a tantrum.
  • I like the way you teach and learn a lot
  • Everything is amazing
  • I appreciate and like the way you presented each topic by using Firsthand experiences. I enjoyed listening to your stories that kept me attentive throughout the 4 hours session.
  • I like how the way the teacher explain things which for me before was unexplainable and hard for me to believe and curiously thinking I could not be able to handle autism. After all the course it feels like I’m all ready to experience and learn more by putting myself into the situation of taking care of them.

  • I liked the vast information that you covered, and the information sheets are going to be my go to binder to support families
  • The course was very insightful and enlightening. There were a lot of real life examples which made it very relatable.
  • I like the teacher, she explained very well, speak very clear and  also she teach straight to the point. And also she give lots of examples in how to handle a client with autism.
  • Hi madam.   You’re so really amazing.   I learned a lot with your zoom meeting.
  • What I did like about the training is the trainer use simple words and  her personal experiences with her child to actually make us understand what she means and what autism is all about.
  • First  of all I want to thank you  for sharing me your knowledge, ideas and information.   I like the way you teached us, organized  and cleared. I'm satisfied  about the way  you teaches  us and I'm very sure it's really  a good  help to all with autism, caregivers and family
  •  I like this because for the future I encounter for my job, so I have ideas and easier for me
  • First of all I salute all those parents has  autism kids,  I know not easy their daily lives taking care of them.  Move through grief and pain.  Be resilient and restore joy with daily gratitude.  Overcome obstacles and advocate with kindness.
  • What I like most about the course are that you’re usng your son as example for explaining he course.   your using Visual and Images for the topic.  Proven that you have a broad knowledge of ASD, since your Son has it.
  • It was really great to know you and learn from you.  I really liked the details which Ms. Barbara addressed us during the course. Ma. Barbara always there for any questions or concerns from students.
  • I like volunteering ,community service or charity work and people need help.
  • I like the way you talked all the information about Autism.
  • I like how passionate  you are about the topic that makes you an inspirational and reliable speaker because nothing beats experience when teaching people.
  • What i like in this course is that you used yourself and your son as an example for this course. I like that we only had 4hours to take this course.
  • I enjoyed how you broke down the entire course into five different concepts; considering that the course has plenty of information, it makes the format of the concept easier to absorb and memorize.
  • Thanks for the zoom meeting.     It was a very nice refresher course.
  • Thank you for the informative training today. I found you explaining the gut and brain connection to autism to be very illuminating.
  • What I liked about the session was that the instructor was personable, very kind, and the content was applicable to the kind of work I that I do
  • Doing this course, I have gained better knowledge on how to communicate and how to approach certain situations with persons with Autism. Identifying the difference between Hyper/Hypo-Sensitive.
  • What i like about the course, is that it gave me a lot of knowledge what autism means. Because of this course, i will be able to understand how this syndrome affects oneself, how people with this syndrome react to what is happening to their surroundings, and how to handle and take their reaction completely. I like this course, because i learned how to properly deal with someone that has autism.
  • Much of the info will be helpful especially communication techniques
  • it is very informative
  • All the information provided in the training was relevant to the type of work.
  • What I like is that, it’s a direct contact and experience dealing with this kind of case, it’s a heartwarming feeling to listen to your talk.
  • I  like all.
  • What I did not like about the course

  • Honestly I didn’t like how we can make a serious notion so short and that’s not on your presentation. I don’t like how in real world this disease is not more known or taken seriously .     You bring forth what more of us should and that’s voice that non verbals don’t have but do in so many other ways.
  • What I didn’t like was learning how underfunded and uneducated we as a society are when it comes to the issue of autism.
  • What I didn’t like is realizing how uninformed people, including myself, are about ASD.  I want to play a part in that slowly changing.
  • Dealing with autistic kids is challenging but your experience and how you dealt with makes it seem easier than i thought.    Autistic kids also deserve the same treatment like other kids and thus making it seem an interesting venture about dealing with them
  • I enjoyed the class so it is hard to pick something I don’t like.  It’s hard to sit in front of a computer for so long but with the current circumstances it is understandable.
  • ·         I liked everything.
  • I think I liked everything about the class.
  • I liked everything especially your determination when it comes to getting what’s best for your son.
  • There was an awful lot of paperwork to print out – so I was luckily able to use my second computer screen and read through that way – hard to avoid lots of handouts, but I know I have access to read it that way rather than printing it out.
  • I have nothing negative to say about this course.
  • Personally I had no issues with the class.
  • Nothing
  • I did not just like it, I loved it!!!
  • I think the time is too short because there's a lot to cover. I want to believe that with Covid-19 gradually being defeated, old methods of teaching will resume.
  • What I didn’t like that is short duration of course
  • There is none
  • Risk aspect of hitting of the head as sign of pain / Cutting itself with an object.    That Sensory sensitive touch disorder may affect one senses, like hearing, touch, or tasting. Having unusually high or low pain discomfort, talking about sensory issues like Sound, Hyper rejecting - Hypo receiving.
  • I like everything about the course.   It’s a very interesting course.
  • Not available.   the presentation/training was very educational.  I did not find anything unlikeable.

  • The hours allotted for the Training is not adequate. I would recommend more hours.
  • Honestly there is no aspect of the teachings that I didn't like, not one dull moment listening to you
  • I don’t like the fact that the stem cell is costly even though it can be found in certain areas of the body it is still not right.

  • I don’t like the fact that we cannot attend in person.   I feel like the whole experience would have been even better, however I was still able to get a lot of information that I think is very useful not just for working with people experiencing autism but how to accommodate and deal with them when we find ourselves in any society with them.
  • I didn't like the long class. Though I pulled through. Probably, a two session class would have been simpler and a continuation would have also served as a refresher course, because you would have done some recap before heading straight up into the main course. However, I pulled through.
  • Nothing
  • What i don't like is the timing . It's very short
  • There is nothing I did not like about the training.
  • I didn't like the time because I feel is should be longer because I was enjoying it. ðŸ˜…
  • I loved everything about the training!
  • What I don't like, can't think of any now.
  • Nothing to figure  out
  • I feel the concept is too broad to be taken in a day and within few hours.
  • ·         I liked everything so invariably i did not like nothing.
  • The little time we had on the lecture cause am willing to know better on care giving.
  • Few things I did not like about the training is that the course is a day training, it very short to study autism within a day,  it can be  difficult for a student who did not have a knowledge of autism before to understand like  Developmental Support Worker who had a wider knowledge of autism .
  • what I did not  like —  Time for the training is short especially for those who does not have experience ( knowledge of autism ).
  • What I didn't like about the training was the duration.
  • I liked everything about the course.
  • You don't like distraction.
  • One thing i do not like considering the growing number of autistic children and adults in Canada and across the globe. Not much has been done by the government in scientific research, to help people with this disability.    However, we need more people to be trained or mentored on how to live or coexist with people with this disability, but unfortunately only few people are willing to learn about it
  • All microphones of  participants were on during the presentation. This was not nice because of distractions and everyone seem to go live at the same time .  I also do not like the fact that screen recording during training was not encouraged. I did screen recording a bit but realized audio was muted when I wanted to play back for more  memory and connection.
  • I did not like that we are few in the class.
  •  I liked everything about the course

  • There wasnt anything I would change it was fun and informative.
  • What I didn't like about yesterday was the time frame. I wished it would have taken longer.
  • There really wasn't anything I didn't enjoy.
  • I didn't find anything I disliked.
  • it was a lot of information all at once.
  • I didn’t like the fact that the course was administered in one sitting. I believe it will be more impactful if the class was segmented into two or three class sessions on different days. This I believe would have created greater level of participation and assimilation of the entire course content. It would have also eliminated stress and dizziness among participants. Because we all are from different time zones which means some of us are actually using our rest and bed time for the training after a hectic day at work.
  • There is nothing about class that I did not like. It was a very informative class
  • The only thing that I did not like about the course was that it didn’t have enough time to have specific questions answered.

  • There was nothing that I didn't like. The class was very informative.

  • I can't think of anything I didn't like about the course. I experienced some annoying connectivity issues during the course but that was mostly a problem on my end.
  • Wish we could go on and on.
  • I would have loved if we have more time to discuss in more practical time. We have a limited time
  • I wish the class was longer.
  • Nothing because it was discussed  very well with good examples given.
  • All about the course I like about it especially the way our speaker Ms. Barbara give us the lecture.
  • I didn’t like the course for the beginning because I have no patience to understand the learning process. But lately I realized I was lucky to enrolled the course . As a PSW I have another chance to find a job who are diagnosed to ASD with a high rate .
  • Perhaps I will say that some persons who are not very good with the computer may have some difficulties joining the class, but this is usually resolved early.
  • I didn't  like only is you are very fast to speak.    you explain it fast and i cannot get it well because  im not a fast learner. But its ok i can read the papers  that you email to me.
  • l like everything about the course because everything was well precised; the time duration, the training materials well explained.
  • About the training itself - nothing.  What i don’t like were the noises from the participants not muting that were annoying and disturbing.
  • I have no problem about the training itself but only the participants who joined. It was very noisy to the point that time is running and wasted. But overall, it was one of the best training i had.
  • The duration of the course was inadequate
  • None
  • If they have a tantrum.  I did not like some other ladies joining with our zoom their mobile phone didn’t mute or silent that’s why we hear their voice if they talk to somebody else.
  • There is nothing that I disliked about the training. The only one thing that I had issue with was signing in to the online platform and I've missed the first part of the training due to these technical difficulties.
  • i didnt like the zoom.  its better if actual face to face
  • actually I don’t like if the Autism people have tantrum. But when I attend this autism course I learn how to handle it.
  • I dont like online class
  • I love everything it really helpful the way you explain its very clear i learned a lot.
  • Some students are not considerate enough by unmuting their speaker that disturb the flow of the session.
  • Would have liked the body breaks for seat work explained more.
  •  I Feel there should be visual aids and short videos to buttress some points
  •  Nothing.
  •  What I didn't like about the training is the time it was scheduled, it should be done in the morning.
  •  Honestly  I don't have anything  that I don't  like because you did your best to discuss with us and you gave  examples  for  us to understand  more.
  •  i don't like autism kids must deal with Social phobia , Obsessive compulsive  behavior, Avoidance  behavior, Hyper vigilance/ hypo vigilance, Rigid routines resistance to change
  •  most of the discussion is I like it, and everything is fine, well explained.  However, there are times that some of the topics were discussed a little bit faster, that sometimes I can’t catch up.  but eventually the topic was so interesting.
  •    I honestly did not liked about the disease “Autism” which can be so cruel to the child future and so painful for the parents for the rest of their lives.
  •  None
  •  Nothing! All topics about autism is very well said.
  •  The seminar was too fast for a broad topic like this. I had typed a question during the seminar but wasn’t answered. You said we can just type questions but it wasn’t read and answered. I  assumed  maybe because we  were running out of time.
  •  What i didn’t like was that you told the student many times to turn on their camera or they can’t  continue the course but of course i understand it’s not your fault but it’s just so annoying😌😌
  • I have nothing to dislike.

  • Some of the information seemed very advanced even as a nursing student; I was getting confused with the information about opioids and gluten. I was struggling to understand the idea of not being able to digest foods due to the lack of enzymes, but also holding onto too many of the toxins that may be in foods but in very small amounts.
  • Not applicable
  • I can't think of anything that i didn't like about the course for it benefits the one who is taking it as well as those people who has Autism. It would help me and the person with autism understand each other much better.
  •  Covid Immunization belief shared that I don't feel is credible yet.
  • None
  • Nothing
  • What I did not like is that I’m not expose to this kind of case because I’m caring a dialysis patient but it’s a nice experience though.
  • Nothing.  I like all.

Suggestion and other Comments

  • Your material should be brought forward to health seminars and school environments.   Pushed forward to beyond 18 as well they just don’t stop growing or not need the human growth to learn opportunities.
  • I would like to see autism training continue to get implemented in schools and the public space.  I would like to continue learning and working with you and with the new information, using my experience as an educator, to enter the work space and work with children with autism.
  • I am delighted at the job you are doing as a mom and an education.  I would like to meet with you again and learn more, as well as discuss future steps and employment.  Please let me know when you would be free!
  • Am super excited and i can’t wait to deal with them and provide all the necessary support needed from the knowledge acquired from the training
  • I just want to say that you are a smart, strong and brave woman.  I can’t imagine myself doing all the things that you’ve done for your loving son,.  You’re a fantastic mom and a wonderful  teacher for giving us all the knowledge that you’ve learned about it.  sharing this information to us is very helpful, not only to people who have autism but for family members and caregivers.  I now have the proper knowledge to assess and care for their needs.
  • I just want to express my gratitude the way you taught and explained this course and the information you provided was so knowledgeable in such simple and clear way you explained
  • I will encourage my friends to enroll for the next class
  • I have attached a document with 3 useful links – one is a book I am just reading about a mothers story about her daughter, and I wasn’t sure if you’d come across this book? One of the therapy’s that might be helpful to know about is Craniosacral therapy  (CST)- so I have added a link to Robert Harris’s website – He teaches and treats people with CST (including paediatrics) and may be a contact or be able to help in finding a therapist with skills in treating autistic individuals. I was thinking Braeden might benefit? Also when I did my first CST course the teacher was Tad Wanveer and I will attach his article for you which talks about how CST can help.
  • There are a lot of useful resources. You can never stop learning!  I definitely feel a lot more prepared and confident.
  • I am more aware of what it means to take care and of and interact  with people with autism.
  • This training needs to get to every corner of the world, some parts of Africa are still in the dark when it comes to Autism. Plus Mrs. Lebo is a great teacher and Instructor, she sure will make it very easy to understand.
  • I think you are doing a great job and l think it helps for people to have a good understanding of this disease called Autism.
  • Barbara’s Lebo Our mentor. You do a great job. Thank you so much
  • I like the charts you given in the course
  • The lecture was very interesting and highly educating
  • My lecturer Mrs. Barbara Lebo was excellent of her behavior out-spoken.    Sound so well, Effective, respectful, impressive. Her workflow was repeatedly wonderful and sincere.     My wish as an Autism caregiver, is to be vibrant or extraordinary much better, good stand to find a job.
  • I feel there should be more interaction with the student and the facilitator during the training.
  • Ultimately  I got the value for my money
  • When a dish is well served and tastes delicious what's there to be added?
  • I am so glad I learnt a lot from this course.
  • I agree with you on the  fact that this disorder  (autism) is mostly caused by the advancement of  society, as society is advancing we are exposing our self to a different food (GMO’s) and so many things that are damaging our bodies. why should a product like cigarette ever be created? what good does it do to our body.   absolutely nothing it is totally useless yet we create it. Drinks, food, milk , baby foods are all contaminated nothing is natural again, all artificial made calamities.
  • May I suggest recorded versions of your teachings in addition to handouts? Hearing and reading again makes a lot of sense.
  • I'm already applying for a program in Niagara College for Graduate Certificate - Autism and Behavioural Science.
  • My suggestion is if you could make it a two day program even it means additional cost, it worth it.  It may interest you to know that I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Diploma in Developmental Service worker (DSW )   I will be glad to share my experience further with you in future

  • I have no suggestions for now. I will reach out to you when I have suggestions for you.
  • Barb Lebo is indeed a good teacher.
  • Barb, you are indeed a great facilitator, and I look forward to meeting you in person someday. Keep up the good work.

  • it was a fantastic time. Thank you for sharing and still sharing.. Keep it up
  • No comments
  • None from my side.
  • All I have to say is thank you for your good work.
  • I feel like the class should be more interactive, no comments i enjoyed it.
  • My comment and suggestion is that the instructor should try as much as possible increase the numbers  of the training, so that people with little or no knowledge of the course will  have time to read and study.  Also try to reduce the course fees so that many people can benefits from the course.
  • It’s a very interesting topic. I suggest you increase the training to two days
  • If I will make a suggestion, I'd like for it to be broken down into  days to help assimilate better
  • No suggestion, everything was great.
  • Thank you so much I really appreciate you and your program,  you are the best it was a wonderful program you spend more 4 hours with us, I was able to understand you better. I really learned a lot from you and am looking forward to work with you again
  • You are well researched  on the training and you consistently apply this knowledge to ensure that our training goes smoothly.
  • You are a such a wonderful person fond to be with and playful, a great teacher, a funny and lovely woman and someone that wants everyone around her to be happy. I don't know  what else to use to describe you. To be sincere I love you.
  • I think there should be more encouragement in our community to  learn about this disability and how we can coexist with people that are autistic
  • It will be nice to have all participants of the training introduce themselves just the way you did before the training. This will enable them acknowledge who referred them and appreciate each other more.  It will be kind to allow each participants who paid for the training free access to you on a one on one consultation without a consultation fee of S50 Canadian dollars as incentive.    Practically, extending a job offer with you to interested participants you have trained will create more experience and connection as an Autism Caregiver Specialist .   Microphones of participants should be muted during training.   Microphone can be allowed when a hand ✋is  raised for comments/ questions. Screen recording of live training should be encouraged with audio permission.
  • None for now.
  • Mrs. Barbara Lebo had an excellent knowledge of the course and the material emailed to me. She was able to bring it across in a way that was easily understood. She used a lot of examples and shared her personal experiences which made the course very interesting.
  • I like the fact that the training material was highly informative.
  • Maybe add a section in the training that deals with children who have trauma??   A lot of foster children in Washington State have autism.
  • It was indeed a blessing and privilege to be a part of yesterdays training and, I must say that you are such a superwoman, and I admire your courage and persistence.
  • The length of the course was perfect for the amount of material.
  • Not that I can think of.
  • Maybe some examples of high functioning autism and what the difference is.
  • Will like to suggest that you segment and break the course into a minimum of two class sessions. You could also include videos and animations as part of your presentation toolset.
  • I have none. Just want you to know I appreciate your work.
  •   Overall the class sincerely warmed my heart as I was able to gain confidence pertaining to my daughters development after hearing how identical my daughters behaviors are to your son’s when he was at her age. My only suggestion is that you never stop teaching this class.

  • Yes. It would have been nice for the group to talk about their child and we could have shared experiences as you shared with your son.

  • I think it might be helpful to include in the pre-course emails some sort of visual instruction on how to work the Zoom meeting app. Some participants obviously had a hard time finding the mute button.
  • You know your opinions and you are a good Teacher.
  • It would be nice if we can attempt one or two behavioral interview questions at the end of the session
  • You are a good Instructor with rich knowledge of the subject matter.
  • I just wanna say thank  you for sharing your knowledge and experience to us.
  • No comment or suggestions because it all perfect  went well.  I   like she make  examples of the son about the behaviour and attention.
  • No comment at all .
  • The trainer did great sharing her personal experiences with us during the course. It would be nice if there was enough time for students to share their personal experiences or observations as well.   Also I hope in the future there will translations in French for those who do not understand English.
  • Thank you for going through the course with us, it was really enlightening.  I'm so glad I was able to attend the class. Thank you for your time and assistance.   Being a listener is a pleasure and nice to meet you via Zoom.  You’re a good teacher you speak clearly and you gave an example. Online is boring if the teacher is not good in teaching but on how you speak even though online you caught my attention.  it feels like i dont like to miss every single minute. I need it, and additional knowledge. You’re right, dont stop learning and every day is a learning process. Im so thankful for being a part in your lesson specifically Autism on how to deal with it.  You have a good heart for helping other people. I wish i can meet you in person. Thank you so much!   I wish you all the best.
  • I think maybe next time you explain it slowly so that i can understand  it better and more  example  to discuss  so that we can learn  more and more ideas  to gain.
  • Yeah the autism caregiver training was quite interesting and educative, and l suggest that this autism caregiver training should continue globally in order to create more awareness about autism disorder and it's management, and also people who can develop interest to work with autism children
  • The handouts you sent me were detailed and helpful and i can surely apply it if i opt to work as a PSW for an Autistic child/adult.
  • I like how you gave us handouts which is easier for us to understand especially it's a zoom meeting. I can't wait to use my knowledge related to this course.
  • I suggest organized seminars at intervals
  • I like to learn types of Autism Spectrum
  • I think next time please ask the ladies who join the zoom to don’t forget to silent or mute their mobile so they can’t disrupt the others.
  • You're a very good speaker, and it was very easy to understand and follow the training.
  • Being a listener is a pleasure and nice to meet you via Zoom.  You’re a good teacher.   you speak clearly and you gave an example. Online is boring if the teacher is not good in teaching but on how you speak even though online you caught my attention.  it feels like i dont like to miss every single minute. I need it, and additional knowledge. You’re right, dont stop learning and everyday is a learning process.  Im so thankful for being a part in your lesson specifically Autism on how to deal with it.  You have a good heart for helping other people. I wish i can meet you in person.  Thank you so much!   I wish you all the best.
  • More examples. i meant 4 hours is long but its not enough to learn more about autism.
  • I suggest that before start the zoom. You please remind them to mute or silent their mobile phone, so they cannot disturb you and other.
  • I enjoyed it.
  • I dont have any sugestions i think everything we need to learned about his already there.
  • I am looking forward to a follow up training or gathering which is physical set-up.

  • Would have liked to see the other participants during the session.
  • In addition to visual aids, the session should be more interactive and participant should be encouraged to talk about their experience and take away from session.
  • I think in class is better.
  • I have idea how to take care of the autism person.
  • No comments or suggestions
  • For me just continue  to discuss the way you are doing.     give more examples about your experiences  with your child because  it's really  help .
  •  I’m very thankful for this training Autism I got learned something and they have some technique of how to handle
  • I do learned these course although it is short hours.  Learned the specific things what to do, observation of their individual characters . For take care of autism is unique and have knowledge how to calm them during hyper vigilance  and hypo vigilance
  • All I can say is you did your part and well explained the course.  and thank you for the knowledge.  I learned a lot.
  •  I thoroughly enjoyed the class and learn so much things about Autism which I even haven’t heard of before. I wish I could have in-person class rather than having online classes.
  • I’m so happy  to learn more about Autism Training,  increase my knowledge and how to handle  this particular person .
  • Not at all. You did a great job everything is clear
  • I prefer to have a formal presentation of the topics via slide or something or videos to present. Also, the entire seminar was only one sided. It was like listening to a podcast. An interactive presentation could do better. Also, allow time for the listeners to interact if they would be given a chance to comment or to ask questions.
  • I admire you for having a heart to teach us about how to understand the needs of autism. You’re such a good mother and thank you a lot for giving your time for us
  • I hope more time to spend with this course and there will be in person learning.

  • I would recommend that the people taking the course were able to view the videos that you had made for your son, to get an idea exactly of how the video looked. I am personally a visual person; this would motivate me to stay more focused and engaged throughout the entire course. I really appreciate the behavioral aspect of the course, there are plenty of techniques that I would like to share with parents and support them with learning routines. Possibly adding videos that describe the anatomy and physiology of the biomedical portion of the class would be beneficial.
  • I had a partner who had colitis in his youth and then started passing out unexplainably and due to his shortened Intestine, I thought maybe he wasn’t getting enough nutrients so we went on a vegan diet and shortly after his symptoms went away. The gut/ brain connection is very  real.
  • Thank you for this course. After the session, I felt like I understood autism more, it has added confidence and I was more calm during my following shift.

  • It would be great to reach out to more people, and have them be educated as well about this disorder. Even just the basic facts about it, it would be a lot of help for them and for those who have this syndrome.
  • No

    None

  • The explanation of the training was clearly presented and made the entire course easy to understand.
  • Topics are nice and good to know.  Very interesting  and knowledgeable.

I like the way you explain and mimic even the way they talk. It’s a nice experience with me.

  • Would you recommend this course?

  • I would absolutely recommend Barbara Lebo’s educational, life  and professional experiences combined into eye opening , inspirational program.
  • I would recommend this course to others because I see it is an issue that needs to be addressed by more people.
  • Yes, I would definitely recommend this course to others.  More and more people should become more knowledgeable in how to handle ASD.   As you said, the numbers are growing and the children with autism eventually becomes adults and members in our community and we need to do our best with them.

  • I will definitely recommend to friends
  • Yes I will tell my friends about it
  • I would recommend this course for anyone interested in gaining insight into Autism Spectrum Disorders from the individual and a parents perspective.
  • It is a great reminder how ASD individuals need others to be their spokesperson and if Healthcare workers better understand the different perceptions and the difficulty that ASD individuals can have with experiencing the world around them – we can then better help modify the environment and stimuli to give a better experience for all  - the individual, the family member and  the caregiver.   Thanks again Barb!
  • EVERY SINGLE PARTICIPANT SAID YES !!!
  • Yes, I would recommend this course to anyone just because the costs of caring for a person with autism would be reduced if everyone who comes in contact with a person with autism has the knowledge to communicate.
  • Yes! I would recommend this class because having done research on autism for a school project I can say that the information in the handout is a carefully curated source of useful information that would be very difficult to find with a simple google search.

  • Sure i did tell a lot of my friends in Nigeria about it and a lot of them are interested in taking the class. i would like to get a flyer or poster so i can share them in schools, churches and some government organizations.
  • Sure because no knowledge is lost. Also there are many children with Autism out there who need help of people to take care of them.
  • For sure I will introduce  some of my friends.
  • Would I recommend this training? You bet I would. I'm already spreading the word and I personally feel it's a training every teacher or parent should embark on to be well informed. Ignorance is not an excuse anymore. Knowledge they say is power. Thank you again.

  • Yes I would recommend the course to friends, families and persons who are in the health care profession to enroll in the course with Mrs Barbara Lebo.

  • would I recommend this training to someone? Hell yes I would.
  • Yes I would recommend this course to others.
  • Absolutely, especially to schools in Alaska.
  • it's a good class to take if you don't have kids with autism on the high functioning side of things or want more information on how autism works or want to learn more techniques on different things that could work for your child with autism.   I'm always up to learn different techniques that may help my children and thank you for all the packets as they were very informative.

  • Thank you very much for your attention and the time you spent with me.  She is more than a boss to me.   In fact she is like a mother, she speak in a respectable manner.  She spent more than 1 hour with me and she make sure I get every single explanation clearly from her.   With her I was able to learn what autism caregiver specialist means.   I can boldly come out and share my knowledge with others.   I  must recommend her to my family, friends and my colleagues at work.   Her training was very fantastic and I really learned a lot from her and am looking forward to have more discussion with her again.  I have never seen anyone like her who will spend so much time and explain everything step by step for her clients.   She is a good leader and she's the best.
  • Thank you for the 1:1 today. It was insightful and very useful in getting employed as an Autism caregiver specialist within and internationally. Moreso , it is very key and relevant for visa application process relating to giving care to persons living with autism.
  • Thanks for the lecture, you are such an amazing woman. Love to be with, I really appreciate you so much. And I believe you will help me to achieve my dreams. About the personalise flyer I will love you to do it for me. Thanks.
